Overactive Bladder Syndrome
Harley Street, London
Overactive bladder Syndrome (OAB) causes a sudden, often overwhelming urge to pass urine, frequently accompanied by urinary frequency, nocturia, and sometimes leakage (urge incontinence). It can disrupt daily life and sleep quality. It remains an under-researched condition that remains poorly understood although Mr Raison is undertaking important research to determine its causes and how it can be best treated1,2,3
How Mr Raison Can Help:
- Comprehensive assessment to confirm the diagnosis and exclude other causes such as infection or obstruction
- Holistic management, including bladder retraining, fluid and dietary advice, and pelvic floor support
- Focus on optimising bladder health, reducing irritants such as caffeine, and addressing lifestyle contributors
- Medical therapy with anticholinergics or beta-3 agonists
- Advanced treatments including Botox® bladder injections and neuromodulation for refractory symptoms
- Ongoing, tailored follow-up to monitor progress and refine treatment
