Media and Public Awareness
September 2025
It was a great pleasure to deliver a lecture at the Wellcome Collection on the role of vaccines in recurrent urinary tract infections, particularly in the context of rising antimicrobial resistance. The event brought together patients, healthcare professionals, and industry colleagues, providing a valuable opportunity to share best practices and discuss emerging approaches to managing recurrent infections. I was especially moved by hearing patients’ experiences and stories, which reinforced the importance of developing innovative, sustainable strategies to reduce infection burden and improve quality of life.
The Guardian: January 2025
I am truly thrilled to be featured in The Guardian’s article discussing the impact of ketamine on bladder health. This platform allows us to shed light on a crucial, yet often overlooked issue that can significantly affect individuals’ lives. Raising awareness about the potential debilitating effects of ketamine use is vital, and I am honoured to contribute to this important discourse and advocate for better patient outcomes.
BBC 3: Drugs Map of Britain
I am honoured to participate in the BBC 3 series called Drug map of Britian focusing on the management of ketamine cysts and the serious repercussions they can have on health. It is a privilege to share my expertise and the experiences of my patients, contributing to a broader understanding of this significant medical issue. This opportunity to engage with a wider audience underscores the importance of informed discussions and proactive healthcare.
